Thank you for reaching out about knife sharpening! I provide professional sharpening services for local chefs, restaurants, and home cooks in the Monterey area. At this time, I’m unable to offer house calls due to a busy schedule. 

However, I offer a convenient and secure drop-box at my home near the Monterey Fairgrounds for home cooks. The typical turnaround time is approximately 24 hours. To use the drop-box, please text me at 831-917-1330 with your name and “drop-box instructions,” and I’ll send you the address and combination. All communication is handled via text. 

Pricing:

Large knives: $8 each 

Medium knives: $6 each 

Small (paring) knives: $4 each 

Discounts available for large quantities

I also offer traditional Japanese knife sharpening using water stones, starting at $16 per knife (special request only). 

Farmer’s Market Update:

After 15 years, I’m no longer sharpening knives at the Tuesday night farmer’s market in downtown Monterey. Instead, I’m now at the Del Monte Shopping Center farmer’s market every Friday from 8 AM to noon. Due to time constraints, I can sharpen 2–3 knives per customer at the market, with each job taking about 20 minutes.
